RemoMail Tutorial

7. Configure a Lotus Notes Account

Use this method only if the Lotus Notes email server does not provide an option to access email over POP or IMAP protocols. This method will work only when you can access the email over the internet browser outside the company network without a VPN connection.

1. From Accounts page Select Add Account.

2. Select “Configure Web Access” shown as an item in provider list.

3. Select Server Type as “Lotus Notes” and Press OK.

4. Select the Server version (If you do not find the server version you are looking for, contact support@remoba.com for more information)

5. Enter the Corporate URL (ex: https://exchange.remoba.com/exchange).

6. Enter the user id ( john or john@remoba.com or domain\john or domain\john@remoba.com varies from server to server. )

7. Select Save password option.

8. Enter Password.

9. Enter Email Address.

10. Select SMTP. Default SMTP uses the RemoMail SMTP server to send email. Other SMTP allows configuring your own SMTP server to send the email.

11. If Default SMTP is selected then proceed to STEP 18. For Other SMTP configuration proceed to next step 12.

12. Enter the Outgoing Server (ex.. smtp.remomail.net).

13. Enter the Outgoing SSL (refer the email providers document to know whether the server supports SSL).

14. Enter the Port number. Usually for Non-SSL it should be 25. Press OK on completion.

15. Select SMTP Authentication. If your SMTP server needs authentication then select the check box and Press OK. If not proceed to STEP 18.

16. Enter SMTP ID (It should usually be your user id).

17. Enter SMTP Password.

18. Now the email provider (can identify the account by the email address) is added to Accounts. Select Email Address and then ‘Get mail’ to read the email.
