MUMBAI - OCTOBER 27,
2005: Remoba Inc., the leading developer of high-value mobile
productivity applications, today announced the launch of
iPhonebook, iDatebook and iPhonebackup on the Tata Teleservices
network in India.
Speaking on the occasion,
Pankaj Sethi, Vice-President - Content, Tata Teleservices said,
"At Tata Teleservices, we constantly strive to make available
better and innovative applications and services to our
customers. We are introducing the unique concept of a mobile
office for the first time in India, across a range of mid-end
handsets. This will be a milestone that will enhance
productivity and connectivity across a large base of our
customers. Wireless mobility empowers people, and these
applications are a powerful tool that enables this."
iPhonebook allows
consumers to update and save their contacts on their phones,
their office PCs or home PCs on the go. It links mobile phones
to address book content in existing Microsoft® Outlook®, Outlook
Express®, and Lotus Notes™, providing users the benefits of
expensive hybrid digital devices at a fraction of the cost.
iDatebook enables
consumers to view, manage and update their appointments and
meetings while away from their office or home PC. It offers easy
mobile access to calendar content in existing Microsoft Outlook®
and Lotus Notes™.
With iPhonebackup, mobile
subscribers will be able to safeguard their contacts at very
little cost. With an easy-to-use menu, subscribers can
wirelessly save the contacts programmed in the mobile phone's
address book and restore them at any time on their existing
handset or on a new handset.
Remoba will soon launch
its mail application, RemoMail, on the Tata Teleservices network
that will allow consumers to access, view, edit and reply to
their personal POP3 mails like Yahoo, Hotmail, Google and so on,
as well as their office e-mails from anywhere and at anytime. It
will offer up to 50 customizable reply templates for a quick
response and allow for saving incoming email addresses into the
native phone address book for easy retrieval.
